Something Special

Good Morning everyone! Today I´ve like to share with you about a special thing for me.

The thing is a ´lion´, but not a real and huge lion, so don´t worry about that(hhahah). It´s a ´lion dance´ I bought in China this year. I love lion dance so much, there´s a deep relationship between ´us´.

The Lion dance is a traditional dance in Chinese culture, there´s two performer in a lion costume and imitating lion movements, and one playing the drum, two-three person playing cymbals and one playing gong. I started leaning the drum in 5 years old because my neighbor is a grandmaster in ´lion dance´, and I learned it quickly, in one year I learned the three star drum, seven star drum and the ´local traditional´ drum. After that, I started to learn Lion dance, this part is very hard, because the performer in a lion costume need to collaborate with the drum. However, I´ve spend my time in something I like, no matter is difficult or something else, so I learned it no more than two years.

When I grow up, I told myself that in one day I´ll buy a ´lion dance´, because it´s meaningful with that experience, I look it, I learn it, and I play it. I still remember the first time I participated in lion dance(played the drum) in my village in Chinese new year, when I was 8 years old, there´s no mistake and played very well.

I bought a lion dance with yellow and gold color, the same color with the ´lion dance´ in my village, which mean loyalty. This type of lion looks more cute and peaceful because it´s modern foshan style, and the ´lion dance´ we use in our village is traditional heshan style, the face it´s a little bit aggressive.

A Piece of Technology

Morning everyone! 

Hope´s you´re all doing well! Today I would like to share with you about a technology I used frequently: the iPad Pro 2020(128Gb Memory).

I bought it in 2020, during the pandemic, because I need a convenient thing to help me take online classes, and the iPad is one of the good choice (besides taking online classes, I have other plans). This iPad is easy to use(if you can use well a phone), looks like a phone with bigger screen, but Apple always update the iOS version with new features, and then it will not just be a simple touch on the screen,there will be many different gestures corresponding to different functions.

I usually use it to make videos in an app called Capcut, and I published my first video in july 7th,2020, that was the point that influenced me in the following years, because I finally found something I like. I don’t need anyone to tell me what I need to do, I will learn it myself.

I published 316 videos on my first channel over 3 years, with 38.53 million views, 872,000 likes and 144,000 subscribers. The last one was published in January 29th,2023. I got my Bilibili Creator Awards with 100k subscribers in November 18th,2022(looks like the ´youtube botton´, but the logo is Bilibili), the most excited thing in that moment.

A song I´m listening to at the moment

The song I have been listen to recently and frequently is 落花流水(Falling Flower and Running Stream) by 陳奕迅(Eason Chan).

It´s a Pop Cantonese song with ch´an lyrics, which mean thought or absorption. I first heard it about 2 years ago, and still listen it now.

I like the melody and the lyrics of this song, it´s very meanfull, specially this one: 

這趟旅行若算開心(but if it's been a happy journey)

亦是無負這一生(there's no regret in this life)

My semester so far

My favorite class in this semester must be the undisputed “English 4”(including the “English 3” in last semester), because I like and enjoy teacher Simon's teaching method. It’s very relaxed and funny, we learn English by talking different things and writing blogs in class, one of the university class that never made me feel stressed (another classes were Mathematics 1 and physical 1 with teacher Aaron).

Talking about the class that I aren’t enjoying…I think they’re “Gestión de proyecto” and “Proyecto IV”.“Gestión de proyecto” is a course full of theory, it was difficult for me to stay focused in a long time. While in “Proyecto IV”, the only thing I aren’t enjoying is the teacher explain very bad in some work, most of the class doesn’t understand what she needs.

In this year, I’m more focus on my feelings than my career, even it’s very busy. I manage my time based on how I feel at the time, but I always finish.

In my free time I have a lot of options like: workout, make videos for my channel, play video games, etc…

My workout frequency is very low this year, only 2-3 times per week (maybe I’m tired by studying in university which makes me lazy in my free times, but I always have energy when I play video games with my friends).

Anyway, life is colorful, stay focused when you work, enjoy yourself when you play!

A School Teacher I Remember

Morning everyone! Hope you´re all doing well, Today I´m going to share with you about a school teacher I remember.

I remember a lot of teachers in my school life in China and Chile, but the most important teacher I consider was Mr Yang, my math teacher in six grade. He was very relaxed as person and his way of teaching at the same time. 

Compare with other teacher, most of them teach the same things says in the book, but Mr Yang rarely used the book in his class, he always teach something different like: calculation method, way of thinking about math issues,etc...

He always left some exercises in class, explained every single question we had untill we understood, and some times he would made some joke when we did the exercise. 

He told us that he didn´t ¨care¨ about how many exercises we did, the most important thing for him in teaching was we could understood the content, think with different ways.

The last time I saw him was in February this year. I had dinner with some teachers of primary school (my uncle was director of this school when I studied there, so he can help me to contact the teachers). Mr Yang was the one of them, we talked a lot of things that happend in primary school, and also the changes in recent years...

It´s hard to describe this feeling with word, saw the primary school teachers after 6 years and talked with them, shared stories...

Friend I made at High School

I made a lot of friends in high school, but only were six-eight friends played frequently. They are Li,Gonzalez,Diego,Nicolas,Quintanilla,Paz and Alison. We met in the same class and everyone was very studious. They were very nice, we studied together before the test or exam, and we shared ideas.

The things I enjoyed or we enjoyed doing together were playiing basketball and vollayball, specially the vollayball, we all know how to play,so we played together when we had free time and also in sport´s class.

Diego and Nicolas were fitted, some time we´ll train together and share our experience and stories about ´work out´. I still remember in the graduation of ´´4to Medio´´, we did our last fourty pushed up together, it was very funny!

They study in different universities now, like gonzales and Alison are studying medicine in University of Chile, Li is studying agriculture in University of Catolica...

We see each other like three to five times in year because we have different things to do, is hard to have free time or spend it for meeting frequently...but those memories will never be forget.
